As a Mentor at New Urban Arts in the Fall of 2015 I participated in a Mentor centered show in NUA's main gallery and work space for Providence youth. The piece "Litteracy" is an homage to Joseph Cornell's assemblage boxes that incorporated common, often minute, objects. Here, the objects are remnants of everyday life, often discard mindlessly but when unified they begin to converse with one another, bringing out the nuances in materiality, color and texture.
